The Distribution of Radioactivity Following Administration of Triethylenimino-s-Triazine-C14 in Tumor-bearing and Control Mice* ,{dagger}

1. Triethylenimino-1-3-5-triazine-C14 was synthesized from urea-C14.
2. A study was made of the excretion and tissue distribution of radioactivity following intraperitoneal administration of TEM-C14 to control mice and mice bearing Lymphosarcoma 1, Sarcoma 37, or Leukemia 1210.
3. The exhaled carbon dioxide contained little radioactivity. A major portion of the activity was excreted in the urine within 24 hours. The principal radioactive metabolite was identified as cyanuric acid.
4. The uptake of radioactivity by organs of tumor-bearing and control mice 24 hours after injections was low. No striking differences were observed between any of the tumor-bearing groups and the corresponding control groups.
5. There was no selective localization of radioactivity in tumor tissue as compared to other organs.
