Dietary choline chloride at levels of 1.05 per cent or higher reduced the number of chicks showing development of tumor when they were inoculated with extracts of RPL-12 tumor. Betaine, inositol, and methionine at comparable levels were ineffective in reducing the number of chicks positive for tumor development. Choline chloride was ineffective unless it was present both prior to and subsequent to the time of inoculation. The implications of these findings are discussed.
