A method for the determination of chymotrypsin-inhibitor levels in blood serum is presented with L-tyrosine isopropyl ester used as substrate.
The highest chymotrypsin-inhibitor values in our series of cases of breast carcinoma were found most frequently in pre-operative and recurrent cases.
In recurrence of carcinoma, the chymotrypsin-inhibitor values were increased more often than the alkaline phosphatase.
* This investigation was made possible through the generous support of "The Friendly Group for Cancer Research."
