Cytopathogenic effects following treatment of Walker 256 tumors with ethylenephosphoramide drugs have been described. The changes consisted of the appearance of bizarre, polymorphic, giant cells with distorted nuclear and cytoplasmic configurations and unusual staining properties. Among specific cellular processes that may be affected are those concerned with nucleic acid metabolism, mitosis, and nuclear-cytoplasmic solgel equilibria.
