A fine structural analysis of the Adenocarcinoma 755 in the solid and ascites forms has shown that considerable alterations occur in the conversion of the solid into the ascites form and vice versa.
The cells of the ascites form displayed a pronounced polarization of the formed elements in juxtaposition with the indentations present in the nucleus.
Particles which may represent virus were detected in both solid and ascites forms, within the cavities of the endoplasmic reticulum and in the form of groups surrounded by a dense membrane.
