( Joseph and Helen Yeamans Levy Foundation Laboratories, Beth Israel Hospital, New York, N.Y.)
-Globulin in combination with Proteus vulgaris lipopolysaccharide inhibited tumor growth to a much greater extent than did the lipopolysaccharide alone. Combined treatment frequently caused regression and disappearance of the tumor.
The presence of a blood-tumor barrier was considered, as was also its alteration by lipopolysaccharide.
The nonspecificity of the combined
-globulin-lipopolysaccharide effect on tumor growth is discussed.
