The uterotrophic responses to various doses of estradiol benzoate, estrone, and estriol were investigated in ovariectomized Sarcoma 180-bearing mice at different stages of tumor growth. The data indicate that the uterine response was decreased as tumor growth progressed when compared with that of the tumor-free ovariectomized control animals. Restricting food intake by pair-feeding did not alter the uterine response to estradiol benzoate in the tumor-free animals but did diminish the estrogeninduced uterine growth in tumor-bearing animals.
