Repeated feeding of large but tolerable doses of 3-methylcholanthrene plus the reiterated injections in a given area of solutions of sesame oil or sodium chloride, with or without dissolved hormones, frequently evoked a fibrosarcoma at the injection site and only in this location in female albino rats.
