The Effect of 1-ß-D-Arabinofuranosylcytosine on Macromolecular Synthesis in KB Spinner Cultures

1-ß-D-Arabinofuranosylcytosine inhibited DNA synthesis and cellular proliferation in suspension cultures of KB cells. RNA synthesis and maturation continued normally, as the cells underwent marked enlargement.
