The enzyme RNA polymerase can be isolated from normal bovine lymph nodes as well as from bovine lymphosarcoma. The characteristics of the enzyme, obtained from the 2 sources, are similar. The specific activity of the enzyme, both in the crude extract and in the partially purified preparation, is twice as high in the neoplastic tissue.
