The i.p. injection of 3'-deoxyadenosine N1-oxide mice bearing Ehrlich ascites tumor cells has a profound inhibitory effect on tumor growth and also significantly increases the survival time of the mice. 3'-Deoxyadenosine also inhibits tumor growth but less markedly than 3'-deoxyadenosine N1-oxide. 2'-Deoxyadenosine N1-oxide and adenosine N1-oxide inhibit tumor growth to some extent.
