Effect of the N¹-Oxides of Adenosine, 2'-Deoxyadenosine, and 3'-Deoxyadenosine on Tumor Growth in Vivo

The i.p. injection of 3'-deoxyadenosine N¹-oxide mice bearing Ehrlich ascites tumor cells has a profound inhibitory effect on tumor growth and also significantly increases the survival time of the mice. 3'-Deoxyadenosine also inhibits tumor growth but less markedly than 3'-deoxyadenosine N¹-oxide. 2'-Deoxyadenosine N¹-oxide and adenosine N¹-oxide inhibit tumor growth to some extent.
