Institut du Cancer, 37, Voer des Capucins, Louvain, Belgium, and the National Cancer Institute, NIH, Bethesda, Maryland 20014

The binding of radioactivity from N-hydroxy-N-2-fluorenylacetamide-9-14C to serum proteins was studied by highly specific and sensitive technics of immunoelectrophoresis. At several time intervals after an intravenous injection in male rats, serum proteins originating from the liver, particularly albumin, and two distinct {alpha}1-globulins, were the main carriers of radioactivity. Furthermore, relatively small amounts of material were associated with transferrin and with the IgG are.

1 Dedicated respectfully to Prof. J. Maisin, Director Emeritus of the Institut du Cancer, on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

2 Visiting Scientist, National Institutes of Health, January to June 1967.
