When cyclic 3',5'-adenosine phosphate or RNA were given separately or together after live syngeneic tumor challenge, prolongation of life was obtained in challenged mice after immunization with X-irradiated tumor cells. Since immunization was necessary for the effect, it is suggested that antigen recognition occurred. The hypothesis is proposed that host resistance was improved after the live tumor challenge.
