The effect of IGF-II supply on intestinal growth and adenoma number

Intestines were dissected free, opened along the longitudinal axis, cleaned in PBS, and fixed (4% paraformaldehyde). Surface area was calculated by multiplying length by width at midpoint of fixed small intestine and colon. Adenoma were visualized by using a dissecting microscope (×10–30). Values are means±SD. Statistical comparison between genotypes with normal and altered IGF-II supply utilized Mann Whitney test.
