In vitro evaluation of cytotoxicity of cationic porphyrins in human tumor cell lines and normal cells.

The cells were cultured in the presence of the porphyrins for 7–10 days and then treated with MTT. Formazan concentration was quantitated by absorbance at 570 nm.
